An exciting new locally owned and operated make-and-take arts and crafts studio is coming to the original Wellington Mall.
Wood Paper Glass’ grand opening is noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, inside the mall at 12794 Forest Hill Blvd., Suite 4.

I talked last week with Terri White, one of the two artists behind the new studio. She and her collaborator, Krisanne Barnett, are thrilled to open their first studio where they can offer a range of classes, while also selling some of their own items in the front of the store.
“We just started talking about in July, and we signed the lease Oct. 10,” Terri said, laughing. “This all happened so fast!”
While the studio from concept to reality took just a few months, both Terri and Krisanne have been sharing their crafts with the community for years at local craft shows.
Terri has been working with stained glass for about 30 years, and offering workshops for the past eight years. Her class takes a few hours and participants walk away with a handmade stained glass piece of their own creation.
The studio has two rooms, with the front set up for larger groups and the back primarily set up for stained glass, with smaller classes expected there.
At Saturday’s event, guests will be able to make a small, simple craft, Terri said. They also will be able to browse some of the premade goods available for sale, made by Terri and Krisanne.
