Some of Wellington’s parks will be open for limited hours, while other facilities will be closed. Here’s the complete list:
- Greenview Shores Park, on the Wellington High School campus: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Dec. 26 and New Year’s Eve; 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. New Year’s Day and Jan. 2
- Village Park Gym, 11700 Pierson Road: Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 26, closed New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and Jan. 2
- Wellington Aquatics Complex, 12072 Forest Hill Blvd.: Closed throughout the holiday for maintenance
- Wellington Community Center, 12150 Forest Hill Blvd.: Closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Dec. 26, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and Jan. 2
- Wellington Tennis Center, 3100 Lyons Road: Open 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Christmas Eve, closed Christmas Day, open 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 26, open 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. New Year’s Eve, closed New Year’s Day, open 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 2
These parks are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Dec. 26, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and Jan. 2:
- Community Park
- Olympia Park
- Peaceful Waters Sanctuary
- Tiger Shark Cove (ballfields and playground)
- Village Park (outside areas and restrooms only)
- Wellington Environmental Preserve at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Everglades Habitat (Section 24)
- Wellington Green Park (10-acre site)
The Wellington Dog Park at Greenbriar Park, 2975 Greenbriar Blvd., will be open as usual from dawn to dusk through the holidays.
