
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is cracking down on impaired drivers in Wellington.
PBSO deputies will be out in force from 4:30 p.m. today through 2:30 a.m. tomorrow in a high-visibility patrol targeting all traffic violations, with an emphasis on finding and removing impaired drivers from the road, the agency said in a news release.

The deputies will focus on main roadways in Palm Beach County with a concentration in Wellington, PBSO said.
The sheriff’s office regularly conducts what are called DUI saturation patrols as part of a grant received from the Florida Department of Transportation, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman said.
PBSO recently conducted two other operations targeting unsafe driving in Wellington.
Operation Bent Metal 3 focused on speeding drivers, among other traffic issues. In Operation Broken Bottle, deputies targeted impaired drivers.
