The deputies will focus on main roadways in Palm Beach County with a concentration in Wellington, PBSO said.

The sheriff’s office regularly conducts what are called DUI saturation patrols as part of a grant received from the Florida Department of Transportation, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman said.

PBSO recently conducted two other operations targeting unsafe driving in Wellington.

Operation Bent Metal 3 focused on speeding drivers, among other traffic issues. In Operation Broken Bottle, deputies targeted impaired drivers.
