There will be a grand opening event from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the restaurant, and the first 100 guests will receive a free order of Talkin’ Taco’s birria tacos. First responders will receive a free order of birria tacos all day long, the company said.
“We’re incredibly grateful and excited to be expanding with our fifth location, and our first in Palm Beach County,” said Mohammad Farraj, co-founder of Talkin’ Tacos. “A Palm Beach County location has been in the works for quite some time. It’s a testament to the love and support we’ve received from our loyal customers near and far who have embraced our culinary vision. This milestone is a reflection of our team’s dedication, creativity, and unwavering commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience.”
Talkin’ Tacos is known for its authentic halal — prepared according to Muslim law — Mexican food. The new location is 2,000 square feet with 50 indoor seats and 38 outdoor seats.
The menu includes a variety of options, including food that is gluten-free and vegan. The signature beef birria is braised for 12 hours per day.
Among the items on Talkin’ Tacos menu:
- Tacos including beef birria, carne asada, mahi mahi, chicken achiote and bang bang shrimp
- A birria burrito with rice, refried beans, cheese sauce and guacamole
- Rice bowls
- Birria ramen
- Birria grilled cheese
- Tomato basil ramen
- Loaded nachos
- Street corn in a cup
- Sweet plantains
- Fried Oreo cheesecake
- Churros
- Tres Leches cake
The chain was born as a food truck during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first restaurant opened in Miramar in 2021, followed by another in Brickell and a third in Wynwood. A fourth restaurant opened earlier this year in Coral Springs, and another is in the works in Jacksonville, according to Talkin’ Taco’s website.
Talkin’ Tacos will be open in Wellington from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
