An early evening rainstorm couldn’t keep crowds away from Wellington’s Back-to-School Party in the Park.

Wellington had the free event Aug. 4 at the Wellington Amphitheater to kick off the school year, with games, activities and entertainment for families.

The event was sponsored by the Christopher Aguirre Memorial Foundation and hosted with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

Students who attended were able to receive free backpacks and school supplies.
