Wellington made the announcement this afternoon.

The playground has been closed while construction on the Town Center Phase 2 project was happening. You can read more about that, and the four-day ribbon-cutting scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, by clicking here.

Scott’s Place is a barrier-free playground, meaning it’s designed for children who are able-bodied and those who are disabled.

The playground is one of the most popular in our area, and probably the most popular playground in Wellington.

I previously reported that Scott’s Place would reopen before the rest of Town Center had its grand opening event, but Wellington hadn’t yet set a date.

When it reopens, the playground hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
